About

The world is big and I want to have a good look at it before it gets dark.
– John Muir
I’m Ada, an elderly millennial travel writer based in northern Minnesota, on a mission to see the world.
A semester living along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and a winter working in London, England cemented my fate as a lifelong traveler. So far I’ve visited all 50 United States (+ 1 territory), 13 countries, and 3 continents.
I started this travel blog to share my experiences traveling the globe. My goal is to provide itineraries, packing lists, and other need-to-know travel information about the destinations I visit to help you create your own amazing adventures.
I grew up in a northern Minnesota tourist town and have spent my entire life working in tourism on Minnesota’s North Shore and Gunflint Trail. As the owner of a seasonal Boundary Waters resort and canoe outfitters, I know both sides of the travel industry. You can count on me for practical, insightful travel advice.
Whatever your reasons for being here, let’s share this adventure called “life!”
